Is it just me, or did December slam its foot on the accelerator when we weren’t looking?

Christmas is less than a week away, and I’m sitting here feeling reasonably accomplished. About 99% of the cards are mailed, the gifts I physically have are wrapped, the cookies are baked, and I’m just waiting for a few stragglers to show up on my porch.

So no, I’m not in panic mode… yet. But I’m also not naïve enough to pretend something won’t go off the rails between now and Christmas morning.
