Quick & Easy Turkey Treat Box + A Little Glass-Art Surprise

Hi Reader,

Not trying to send you into a panic, but how on earth is Thanksgiving next week? I swear it was just Halloween five minutes ago. Then again, the stores basically went straight from Back to School to Ho-Ho-Ho, skipping right over half the fall holidays — so maybe I shouldn’t be shocked.

Do you remember when I told you how much fun I had at that fused glass art class? Well… yesterday I finally got to pick up my finished piece, and as promised, here are the before-and-after pics.

How do you like my little snowman family? I think they turned out pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself. And tomorrow I’m back in class making a 3-D Christmas tree — you know I’ll show you those pics next week.

Thanksgiving is coming in hot, and if you’re hosting — or heading to someone else’s house — there’s nothing like a cute handmade table favor to make things feel a little more special. The food might be the star, but these tiny details? They’re the charm. If you want to make one (or twelve), my quick video shows you exactly how to put it together.

Hi Reader, Well, here in the Shenandoah Valley we're getting ready for Snow-mageddon. Forecasters are predicting anywhere from 1 to 2500 inches of snow (LOL)! For Virginians that means heading to the store for milk, bread, and toilet paper. Seriously - it's quite the phenomenon. I don't know about you, but as long as I have a few good books on my Kindle and plenty of craft supplies, I'm ready for the storm. How about you - is your area going to get some wintery weather this weekend? In other...

Hi Reader, Is anyone else as confused as I am as to what day it is? Having a holiday on a Thursday is just weird—it felt like a Saturday or Sunday. I actually had to stop and say, “Oh wait… it’s only Friday—I’m not behind on my to-do list!” Anyway, now that we’ve officially welcomed 2026 and are packing away the decorations until next December, it’s time to focus on something that never goes out of style… crafting New Releases Drop Tuesday – January 6th! The January–April 2026 Mini Catalog...

Hi Reader, Is it just me, or did December slam its foot on the accelerator when we weren’t looking? Christmas is less than a week away, and I’m sitting here feeling reasonably accomplished. About 99% of the cards are mailed, the gifts I physically have are wrapped, the cookies are baked, and I’m just waiting for a few stragglers to show up on my porch. So no, I’m not in panic mode… yet. But I’m also not naïve enough to pretend something won’t go off the rails between now and Christmas...
